Driveline, Driveshaft & PTO Shaft Service
When the shaft that turns your wheels — or runs your equipment — gives out, the truck doesn’t move and neither does your day. At our Lodi shop, we repair, rebuild, balance, and custom-fabricate drivelines, driveshafts, and PTO shafts in-house. No shipping your shaft across the country and waiting a week. We build it, balance it, and get you back on the road.
One Shop for the Whole Rotating Driveline
“Driveline,” “driveshaft,” and “PTO shaft” get used interchangeably, and they’re closely related — but here’s how they actually fit together:
- The driveline is the full system that moves power from your transmission to your axles — driveshaft, U-joints, slip yokes, and carrier bearings working as one.
- The driveshaft is the spinning component at the heart of it. When you feel a vibration at highway speed or hear a clunk pulling away from a stop, this is usually the culprit.
- The PTO shaft does a different job — it powers the auxiliary equipment that earns its keep: pumps, dump bodies, plows, and wet kit setups.
Different parts, different jobs — but all the same precision work, and all under one roof in Lodi.

Why Madison Spring
We’ve been keeping Wisconsin’s trucks on the road since 1967, and Wisconsin roads are hard on a driveline — frost heaves, potholes, and seasons that swing from 95 to 20 below. We know what that does to a shaft because we’ve been fixing it for over half a century.
What sets us apart: we fabricate and balance in-house. That means faster turnaround, a shaft built to spec for your exact application, and a team that stands behind the work — because we did the work.
